Since 2020, our daily lives, activities, and routines have undoubtedly been interrupted by COVID-19, and nowhere is this more evident than in our schools. Gaps in learning are increasing at an alarming rate, further adversely affecting our students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
If your child's learning has been impacted by COVID-19, there is help available. Through the Texas Education Agency's Supplemental Special Education Services (SSES), you may qualify to receive a one-time, on-line $1,500 grant that can be used to obtain special educational resources and supplies and/or services.* SSES goods and services are offered above and beyond the services provided by the student’s school to ensure that the student receives a Free and Appropriate Education (FAPE).
